Considerations when painting indoors :

When painting indoors, higher demands are made on finish and surfaces.

The added ingredients should be between 0.5-1.5 dl/litre and should only be applied in the final colour. Surfaces subjected to increased wear can be further treated with oil varnish or oil veneer after approx. 2 weeks.
Clean painted surfaces with water and detergent (not soap) or use the product Fulgentin, which can be found in our product range.

Sun-thickened linseed oil
Sun-thickened linseed oil is made by raw linseed oil being poured into large containers outdoors and left to stand and become influenced by sunlight and oxygen. The process continues for a period of 3-4 months during which time the linseed oil bleaches and thickens through oxidation. This is the old method of producing “Linseed stand oil” and cannot be compared with modern methods of producing stand oil. Sun-thickened linseed oil is the product used in artwork oil paints and older craftwork paints and is mentioned in texts dating from the 17th century. This oil has very good drying and gloss properties with good resistance to UV light.
Used as a medium in our artwork oil paints to enhance the drying and gloss qualities of the paint.
Sun-thickened linseed oil can also be used as an additive to our linseed oil paints in the final application. We recommend its use in our darker shades where the result is a beautiful deep gloss. Add approx. 10 to 15 volume percent to the paint.
NOTE! If added to white or light grey shades, the paint may thicken.
