Wooden Tar
Wooden tar can be used on wood that has previously been treated with wood tar, iron vitriol and sludge paint as well as on untreated wood such as wood paneling, façade timber, wooden roofs, fences, bridges, wooden boats etc. as well as for veterinary, but especially pharmaceutical purposes. Includes in shampoos, soaps and in ointments for allergic rashes, psoriasis, eczema etc.
Genuine Wood tar is relatively viscous to the consistency but can become more lightweight and penetrating if heated e.g. in water bath to about 50-70 degrees or mixed with balsamic turpentine. You can also dilute the tar with raw or cooked linseed oil to make the product more drying. Do not apply too thick layers as there is a risk of crackling and "bleeding" in hot weather. Paint with a brush. Can also be sprayed after heating or dilution.

Oil Wax
Ottosson oil wax is used like a shoe cream to protect and give a beautiful lustre to brick floors, tiles, table tops and window sills made of natural stone, wood and metal.
Oil wax is perfect on surfaces stained with Ottossons varnish shades. The oil wax discolours the glaze minimally leaving the surface beautiful and as smooth as velvet.
Product content: Linseed oil, Beeswax, Carnaubawax, Dammar resin, Terpentine
Spread the oil wax cream very thinly with a cloth or shoe brush. Polish the surface to a satin finish using a soft shoe brush after one day. The product is extremely economical; 1 litre of oil wax is sufficient for 30 -50 m2.

Gentle thinning agent

Fakta: Skonsam Förtunning 222 är luktfri (mindre än 0,01% aromater). Skonsam Förtunning 222 innehåller inga terpener, som i vissa fall kan orsaka allergisk reaktion, utan består av rena isoparafiner.
Isoparafiner hör till de skonsammaste förtunningar som finns. Skonsam Förtunning 222 avdunstar långsammare än andra förtunningar. Detta bidrar till en bra arbetsmiljö inomhus.

Linseed Paint Dark Grey
NCS-kod: 7601-G37Y
Made of Swedish cold-pressed boiled linseed oil and colour pigments. Adapted for painting both indoors and outdoors.
NB: The colour sample shows three different shades. (Above) the standard shade, (left) a mixture of equal volumes of standard shade and White Titanium-Zinc (1+1) and (right) a mixture of one part standard shade and three volumes of White Titanium-Zinc (1+3). You can mix these different shades yourself.
Considerations when painting indoors
Add 1% (10 ml per litre) of the drying agent cosirk.
Ensure good ventilation and follow the recommended drying times.
When painting indoors, higher demands are made on finish and surfaces.
Higher gloss and improved flow can be achieved by adding Ottossons Sun Oxidized linseed oil and/or Linseed Oil Varnish. The added ingredients should be between 0.5-1.5 dl/litre and should only be applied in the final colour. Surfaces subjected to increased wear can be further treated with oil varnish or oil veneer after approx. 2 weeks.
Clean painted surfaces with water and detergent (not soap) or use the product Fulgentin, which can be found in our product range.

Linseed oil varnish
Modification of the final coat. When painting indoors higher demands are made concerning the finish and surface. To obtain a higher gloss finish and better coverage of our linseed oil paint, Ottosson Linseed oil varnish can be added. The mixture should be between 0.5- 1.5 dl litre. The mixture should only be applied to the paint for the final coat.

Siccative Kobolt-Sirkonium
Siccative can be added to linseed oil paint to accelerate the oxidation (drying).
In general, you should avoid adding extra siccative as it accelerates the aging of the paint and can make the paint film brittle.
The content of siccative in our linseed oil paint is adapted for painting outdoors. So do not add any extra desiccant outdoors.
When painting indoors, we recommend that you add max 10 ml. per liter of paint.

Ottosson glaze oil
Ottosson Varnish Oil is intended for mixing with Ottosson varnish shades to be applied on wood in order to provide a durable and beautiful varnish surface.
The varnish shades are available in White, Sandstone, Driftwood, Aged wood, Oak, Mahogany, Walnut and Black.
The varnish oil can also be mixed with other Ottosson linseed oil paints.

Bio Impression oil varinsh
Bio Impression: is a deep-penetrating, fast-drying and moisture-protecting natural oil varnish consisting of linseed oil, castor oil, palm oil, lemon oil and aloe. It has an excellent adhesion to all hard resinous and greasy woods.
The wooden surfaces should be clean and grease-free, preferable the surface should be freshly sanded. The moisture content of the wood must not exceed 14%. Bio Impression is applied to at least 2 layers indoors and 3-5 layers outdoors.
Surface treatment with Bio Impression for semi-matte appearance (silk gloss): To obtain an "oily appearance" apply Bio Impression fluently with a Scotch-Brite sponge. Let the oil soak in for 15-20 minutes. Make sure that the entire surface is kept "wet" during this time. Then wipre the surface off so that all shiny stains disappear. The next layer is applied after 8 hours. Wiping can then be done after 1-5 minutes. If the surface is exposed to sun and rain, repeat this procedure 5-10 times. Indoors 1-4 layers are sufficient at normal moisture load. If the result is too shiny, a smaller area can be matterd with a Scotch-Brite after 6-8 hours.
Maintenance: Surfaces treated as above are checked annually. If the surface begings to dull or gray, sand with a sanding cloth or wash with an effective cleaning agent with a proper rinse. Then apply 2 coats of Bio Impression. Exposed surfaces that have been treated with less than 3 layers must be supplied with new oil within 1-2 years. Surfaces painted with Linseed Oil Paint can be maintained with Bio Impression. The paint retains surface and gloss for a longer time with this "varnish". We recommend a thin coat at each maintenance occasion.

Here you have the possibility of ordering a linseed oil paint shade that does not exist among our standard shades.Important information when placing an order.
When ordering large quantities of paint, you should always choose the largest possible package size, which is 5 litres in order to receive a discount. For example: If you order 24 litres of a particular paint shade, you should choose 4 × 5 lt. 1 × 3 lt. and 1 × 1 lt. in order to receive a discount. (If you choose 8 × 3 lt. or 24 x 1 litres, you pay the unit price without discount). When we send you the invoice, we calculate the price and you receive a discount as follows: Paint quantities between 11-30 litres gives approximately 10% discount and above 30 litres yields an additional approximately 5% discount. As compared to the liter price of the 5 liter. We reserve the right to adjust the price if more expensive pigments are used in the mixing. Generally speaking, strong shades of bright green paint cost 15% more. When using cobalt blue and red and yellow signal shades, the paint will be more expensive than indicated here. In cases of uncertainty, you will always be contacted before we mix the paint. When creating an order, you must indicate the paint shade code. Any supplementary information should be written in the text box. We require information as to whether the paint is to be used outdoors or indoors. The more information we receive about the nature of the surface and its condition etc. the better we can customize the paint for you.

Ottosson Linseed oil soap 1 liter
Our own manufactured Linseed oil soap is handcrafted and made of Swedish cold-pressed linseed oil. Linseed oil soap is naturally oily and acts to moisturize the skin. Linseed oil soap has a wide range of applications such as general cleaning, cleaning brushes and hands when painting with linseed oil paints and in surface treatment. It contains potassium hydroxide, linseed oil fatty acids and water with no perfume additives. The low pH-value 9-10 renders the soap mild and gentle to the hands. We received an interesting tip from a taxi driver who said that the best way to clean dirty leather seats was to use 1 part linseed oil soap mixed with 8 parts water. Spray on using a spray bottle and then wipe off with a cloth. Once the surface is clean, allow it to dry. Linseed oil soap is also used within health care (e.g. foot care).
Matt linseed paint Maria
“At last a linseed oil paint for interior use which is not hazardous for either health or the environment”. The pictures show different environments where Ottosson’s matt linseed oil paint has been used for walls and ceilings. The standard matt colours have often been used in combination with Ottosson’s standard linseed paint, seen on doors and architraves in these reference pictures.
